Rickie Lambert

Rickie Lambert - 12 goals

The striker has made an instant impression at Southampton after a big money switch from League One rivals Bristol Rovers earlier in the season.

Lambert netted a penalty in Sunday's 3-1 home defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Lee Barnard

Lee Barnard - 11 goals

Barnard almost joined Swindon during his days with Tottenham - but is now a permanent fixture in the Southend side and has found the net eleven times so far this term - including a treble against Leyton Orient in September.

Jermaine Beckford

Jermaine Beckford - 11 goals

Loved by Leeds fans, often loathed by opposition supporters for his knack of scoring late winners - Beckford has continued his impressive goalscoring form this term and has helped Leeds to the League One summit.

Town fans will hope he has departed in the transfer window by the time Leeds visit The County Ground on Tuesday 26th January.

Nicky Forster

Nicky Forster - 9 goals

Former Town assistant manager Gus Poyet - now Manager at Brighton & Hove Albion - has inherited an experienced goalscorer at The Withdean.

Forster is a valuable member of the Seagulls' squad and will provide Mssrs Greer and Cuthbert with a tough test at SN1 on Saturday 19th December.

Grant Holt

Grant Holt - 9 goals

The former Shrewsbury hitman has spearheaded the Norwich attack with good effect so far this term, weighing in with nine goals to date.

Holt, who joined The Canaries in the summer, will be a vital cog in Norwich's promotion charge.

Jordan Rhodes

Jordan Rhodes - 9 goals

Joined Huddersfield Town in the summer from Ipswich Town and scored 13 goals in as many games in all competitions in the opening stages of the 2009/10 campaign. Rhodes is reportedly attracting interest from Coca-Cola Championship side Reading.

Town fans will hope he has an off night when The Terriers come to Swindon on Tuesday 24th November.

Simeon Jackson

Simeon Jackson - 8 goals

Powered in an impressive hat-trick against Swindon on the opening day and has not looked back since.

Jackson has also had scouts flocking to watch him in action and the Canadian has so far helped The Gills away from the League One dangerzone.
