Posted on: Fri 20 Nov 2009

Town Assistant Manager Peter Shirtliff keeps you updated on the week's events at The County Ground in 'Get Shirty', available right here at Swindontownfc.co.uk every Friday morning.

Swindon Town winger Lloyd Macklin has received the all-clear to resume light training after an X-Ray on Thursday afternoon.

Macklin was forced off against Brentford on Saturday 3rd September - and after the game a leg fracture was diagnosed leaving the midfielder on crutches.

Club Physiotherapist Dick Mackey offered his views on the news:

"Lloyd had an X-Ray at lunchtime and got the go-ahead to continue his rehabilitation work.

"It's good news for him because it has been six weeks since the injury and he has been working hard - but he can now get back onto more football specific work.

"He did some light running on Thursday and we can now get him back on track towards joining the rest of the squad."
