Town defender Sean Morrison is set to extend his loan deal at Southend United until January 9^th.

Morrison made a nightmare start to the spell-being sent off within half an hour of his debut at Yeovil Town-but has since cemented a spot in the starting line up, and manager Steve Tilson is happy to have secured Morrison's services for another month.

He said: "We've got the ball rolling with regards to keeping Sean for longer.

"The paperwork is ready and hopefully we can get it sorted before Saturday.

"He will get better the more he plays and it's important we keep him because we don't have too many defenders right now."
