Leeds United have enjoyed a fruitful season thus far, in what is their third attempt at a return to The Championship.
Eight wins from the opening nine league games of the season established Simon Grayson's side as the runaway leaders of League One, although a victory for Norwich on Saturday was enough to edge City to the top of the League One pile.
As one of the highest scorers in the league, Leeds have enjoyed heavy winning margins over the likes of Gillingham (4-1), Bristol Rovers(4-0) and Yeovil Town (4-0).
Aside from their impressive League One form, Grayson's side are in the middle of a high profile FA Cup run, having shocked Manchester United at Old Trafford with a 1-0 win, and earned a creditable draw against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.
Despite an undisputedly successful season, Leeds' League One form has endured a comparative slump over recent games, with a disappointing home draw with lowly Wycombe Wanderers preceding a shock 2-0 away defeat against similarly struggling Exeter City.
Jermaine Beckford broke Swindon hearts the last time the sides met, scoring in the 87th minute in a narrow 1-0 victory for Simon Grayson's side at Elland Road as Town struggled against relegation.
In stark contrast, both sides are in the promotion shake up ahead of the clash.

Team News - Swindon Town
New striker Vincent Pericard has recovered from the hamstring strain that kept him out of the 1-0 win over Stockport County last Tuesday, and is available for selection.
Hamstring victims Alan Sheehan and Alan O'Brien miss out, while Danny Wilson will have to fill Ben Hutchinson's place on the bench, as the striker returned to Celtic yesterday.

Swindon Town Manager, Danny Wilson:
"We've had some good results against some of the so-called bigger teams here this season so let's hope we can have another one on Tuesday against Leeds.
"It's going to be a big test for us, because they are going brilliantly well.
"They've had a couple of indifferent results in the last couple of games but that won't deter them from their focus on Tuesday night."
Team News - Leeds United
Manager Simon Grayson is not expected to make any changes to his starting line-up from Saturday's FA Cup draw at White Hart Lane.
Argentinian striker Luciano Becchio will start on the substitutes' bench with Robert Snodgrass in an advanced role just behind Jermaine Beckford.
New signing Max Gradel will go straight into the squad after his move from Leicester City.
