2010/2011 Season Tickets are available now and selling well. Swindontownfc.co.uk want to hear from those supporters who have either bought their first Season Ticket for next term, or those who are returning as Season Ticket holders after an extended period away.
This account was sent in by John Humphreys of Beenham, Berkshire, who has recently purchased his first ever Season Ticket for The Arkell's Stand.
When did you first start watching the Town?
I first started watching the Town some 30 years ago. It was the 1979/80 season which saw some incredible cup football, with Town taking Tottenham Hotspur to a replay in the FA Cup, beating Arsenal over two games and finally losing out to Wolves in the League Cup Semi-finals.
There were nearly 26,000 squeezed into the County Ground that night! We had a prolific strike partnership of Mayes and Rowland that season scoring 19 and 20 goals each - the best we've had before a certain Paynter and Austin perhaps?
I now live in Berkshire with my wife Allie and two children Jake and Jemma, 10 miles down the road from another (lesser known) club who play in blue hoops.
So in all the years I've followed the Town, from the Division Four days to the Premier League days and all those games in between, I've never had a Season Ticket.
So why start now?
A number of reasons: the sensible ticket pricing, the financial stability provided by Mr. Fitton, Mr. Watkins and the other Directors, the leadership of Danny Wilson and the side that he's building; playing a proper, attractive style of football.
There is a feel-good atmosphere around the club at the moment, and I think we're on the cusp of something special again.
Where will you be sitting?
It's the Arkells stand, block A3 for me!
