Swindon Town Football Club received a high commendation at the 2010 Football League Awards.
The club entered a range of awards and were shortlisted for two, which were the E.ON Family Club of the Year for League One and Perform Best Marketing Campaign.
Town's efforts in trying to attract families to The County Ground were recognised whilst former striker Simon Cox missed out on the Goal of the Year award.
The awards were received at a gala dinner at Grosvenor House, Park Lane on Sunday evening in front of 900 attendees from clubs, sponsors and the football industry.
The Football League Awards take place annually and reward excellence both on and off the pitch. This year a total of 295 entries were received from all 72 League Clubs for categories from Fan of the Year and Best Marketing Campaign to Goal of the Year and Player of the Year.
The number one spot in the FourFourTwo Top 50 Football League Players went to Newcastle United's striker Kevin Nolan. Jermaine Beckford of Leeds United was the highest ranked Coca-Cola League One player and Craig Dawson of Rochdale the best from Coca-Cola League Two. The full list of The Top 50 Football League Players can be found either in the May issue of FourFourTwo which is on sale now, or on the FourFourTwo website www.fourfourtwo.com.
Commenting on the 2010 Football League Awards, Football League Chairman, Lord Mawhinney, said: "Once again, these awards have given us the opportunity to honour those clubs and individuals whose commitment to the game or their local community goes beyond the call of duty.
