Former Town striker Simon Cox was celebrating this weekend as West Bromwich Albion secured promotion to the Premier League.
Cox joined The Baggies in the summer of 2009 for an undisclosed fee and made his 14th Championship start at Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.
Goals from Graeme Dorrans, Chris Brunt and Roman Bednar were enough to seal a quick return to the top-flight.
Swindon Town Chairman Andrew Fitton offered his congratulations to the player and confirmed that STFC will benefit from Roberto Di Matteo's side winning promotion.
"We are delighted that Simon Cox has continued to achieve success and that he will be playing in the Premier League with West Bromwich Albion next season," said Fitton.
"Last year the club received a number of approaches for Simon but in discussion with him we were always determined that he should go to a club with a genuine chance of gaining further promotion."
"Under the 'performance based' deal that we struck with WBA we continue to share in Simon's success on the pitch.
He added: "We shall be watching his progress next season with interest. We wish him the best of luck for the future."
