7pm - The teams are in. Stephen Darby, Billy Paynter and Lecsinel Jean-Francois replace Kevin Amankwaah, Alan O'Brien and Alan Sheehan for Town. Sheehan misses out with a hip injury, but is hopeful od being fit for any potential Wembley trip in 10 days time.

7.30pm - Town's sizeable away following begin to fill the corners of The Jimmy Seed Stand as their team return to the tunnel, where manager Danny Wilson prepares to deliver his 800th pre-match team talk - and what a team talk it could prove to be.

7.40pm - Just five minutes to go until kick off now, and the atmosphere is really building ahead of Town's biggest game in years. And to briefly digress, it's actually quite chilly.

7.45pm - The match kicks off with Town shooting away from their boisterous band of away supporters.

7.51pm - SUBSTITUTION: After a heavy fall, David Lucas is forced off clutching his shoulder. The visibly distraught goalkeeper is replaced by Phil Smith.

7.59pm - The first chance of the match falls to the hosts, as Frazer Richardson swings in a deep cross which is met by Deon Burton, but the striker can't keep his header down and it loops harmlessly over the bar.

8pm - The second chance in as many minutes for Charlton, as Kyel Reid cuts into the left hand edge of the box and curls a shot goalwards, but Phil Smith is down sharply to palm it away, and Jean-Francois completes the clearance.

8.13pm - After a decent spell of pressure from Town, Reid breaks well and shoots from the edge of the box, but Smith is down sharply to save.

8.15pm - GOAL! Charlton take the lead through through an own goal by Simon Ferry. A deep corner looped over the head of Phil Smith, and Ferry, on the back post, inadvertantly poked in over the line to level the tie.

8.19pm - J-P McGovern takes a speculative shot on the volley from 30 yards out, and Darren Randolph makes a comfortable save.

8.31pm - A neat move from Charlton ends with Deon Burton being matched with Stephen Darby in an aerial battle inside the area, which the veteran wins with ease, but again he heads well over Phil Smith's crossbar.

8.34pm - GOAL! Kyel Reid beats Stephen Darby on the right, and crosses low for David Mooney, who sweeps the ball neatly past Phil Smith and into the corner to put Charlton ahead on aggregate.

8.37pm - Town's best chance of the half falls to Paynter as he meets Danny Ward's headed cross, but nods it narrowly over from eight yards out.

HALF TIME Charlton Athletic 2 Town 0

8.55pm - The second half kicks off. Apologies for the lack of half time report, you guessed it..... technical difficulties.

9.05pm - Town have made a bright start to the second half, but are still to seriously test Darren Randolph in the home goal.

9.08pm - An excellent spell of play for the visitors nearly brings a goal, as Greer lifts the ball through to Austin, who chests well but is just beaten to the loose ball by Randolph, who pokes it out for a corner.

9.13pm - SUBSTITUTION: Billy Paynter is replaced by Alan O'Brien.

9.15pm - SUBSTITUTION: Scott Wagstaff replaces Lloyd Sam for the hosts.

9.16pm - RED CARD: Just as Town were looking likely to equalise, they are reduced to 10 men, as Gordon Greer is sent off for a high challenge on Deon Burton. The skipper looked to have won the ball first, but caught Burton on his follow through, and was given his marching orders.

9.18pm - A flurry of activity in the Town box as a looping cross is bizarrely headed back across his own goal by Alan O'Brien into the path of Scott Wagstaff, but Phil Smith is on hand to make a brilliant point blank save and keep Town in the tie.

9.21pm - SUBSTITUTION: Kevin Amankwaah replaces Simon Ferry for Town.

9.23pm - GOAL! Town back on level terms in the tie! A storming run from J-P McGovern comes to an end with a scuffed shot which trickles into the path of Danny Ward, who nips in front of Randolph to poke the ball home for his fourth goal in as many games.

9.31pm - A great chance goes begging for Town as Deon Burton finds himself unmarked on the penalty spot, but can't direct his header wide of Phil Smith, who makes a comfortable save.

9.34pm - SUBSTITUTION: David Mooney is replaced by Nicky Forster for Charlton.

9.39pm - Phil Smith is again on hand to make a sharp save, this time from Nicky Bailey as the midfielder lets fly with a rasping shot from 25 yards, and the stopper pushes it clear of danger.

9.40pm - RED CARD: Charlie Austin breaks through and is hauled down by Llera, who is immediately shown a red card by referee Swarbrick to even it up. Game on.

9.42pm - The resultant free kick is whipped in by McGovern, but headed over by Cuthbert.

FULL TIME Charlton Athletic 2 Town 1

9.50pm - Charlton kick off the first period of extra time. Everybody calm down......

9.52pm - Scott Wagstaff strikes the post for the hosts with a 25 yard drive.. The substitute took what looked a speculative punt at best, but it skidded past Smith and just grazed the upright as it went wide.

9.53pm - SUBSTITUTION: Kyel Reid is replaced by Therry Racon for the hosts.

9.55pm - A great run from Forster ends with the frontman cutting inside Cuthbert and hitting a powerful shot goalwards, but Smith is on hand to parry it and Cuthbert clears.

9.59pm - Smith is almost caught out with a dipping shot from Racon, but he does well to flick it over the bar.

10.02pm - Frazer Richardson lets fly with a rasping half volley from 25 yards which sees Smith beaten, but the post comes to Town's rescue again and the ball goes out for a goal kick.

EXTRA TIME H/T Charlton Athletic 2 Town 1

10.08pm - The second half kicks off.

10.12pm - What a chance for Town. Another swift McGovern break set up Danny Ward in the area, but the Bolton loanee could only curl his shot agonisingly wide of the far post.

10.18pm - Burton thought he'd won it for The Addicks as he turned on a sixpence inside the box and shot towards goal, but the ball flew just wide of the post.
