Swindon Town FC Chief Executive Nick Watkins, Chairman Andrew Fitton and Director Jeremy Wray will fly to Malta for a two-day summer conference early next week.
The Football League and the Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) recently announced a partnership that enables The League to hold its Summer Conference and Annual General Meeting on the Mediterranean island.
Held from 6th to 8th June at the Westin Dragonara Resort, the conference brings together Chairmen and Chief Executives from each of the 72 clubs playing in The Football League for the 2010/11 season.
The arrangement will provide the tourism authority with a number of commercial opportunities including online advertising across the network of 82 official club websites run by FL Interactive - the digital arm of The Football League.
The partnership comes in addition to the Malta Tourism Authority's shirt sponsorship of Sheffield United which has been in place since 2008.
Andy Williamson, Chief Operating Officer of The Football League, said: "We are delighted that this partnership enables us to hold our Summer Conference on the beautiful island of Malta.
"Taking our clubs away, through the support of the MTA, allows Chairmen and Chief Executives to focus on the important decisions facing the game today."
Alex Incorvaja, UK and Ireland Director for the Malta Tourism Authority, said: "It is a pleasure to be hosting The League's Summer Conference in Malta.
"We hope that this partnership will help Malta raise its profile as top class venue for sports tours and conferences, as well as highlighting the stunning holidays on offer a mere three hours by plane from the UK."
