Club Physiotherapist Dick Mackey will assess striker Charlie Austin ahead of the weekend trip to MK Dons.

Austin has been in for treatment each day this week following an injury sustained in Town's last League 1 encounter, with Mackey offering an update as to the striker's current state of fitness.

"Charlie suffered a minimal hamstring strain in the first half against Brentford last weekend, but he was able to complete the 90 minutes," said Mackey, speaking on Thursday morning.

"After the game we began a light schedule of walking and jogging together with plenty of stretching.

"Since then we have reached the stage of strength and much more robust general fitness work.

"Charlie will be assessed in the build-up to the game before we make any decision about his availability."
