AMANKWAAH EYES FENERBAHCE TEST
Summer signing Kevin Amankwaah made his first appearance in a Town shirt on Thursday night and after a successful outing, is already eyeing up a clash against 'one of Europe's best'.
Amankwaah was introduced as a second half substitute against Steaua Bucharest as he battles with Jack Smith for the right-back shirt ahead of the new season. It was a close enocounter with the defender pleased to have made his Town bow despite the intense Austrian heat.
"I thought it was a tough game but we did reasonably well. We hadn't done too much team shape going into it and in difficult conditions, we didn't let ourselves down.
"Training has been tough, too. We have been worked hard and the game on Thursday was a test - both in terms of stamina and team shape."
Town's next test sees Fenerbahce lined up as the opposition. A tough test, although Amankwaah admits his teammates are eager to get stuck into match action once again.

"We are all looking forward to it. We expect them to be similar to Steaua in that they will be very good off the ball and in possession too.
"But we have had a few more sessions to work on our team shape and that should benefit us.
"It was a good defensive performance on Thursday and if we can build on that against one of Europe's best teams then we will be on the right track."
