MALPAS ON FRIENDLY ENCOUNTER
Swindon Town boss Maurice Malpas was happy with his side's overall display after a 2-1 friendly victory at Hampton & Richmond on Tuesday night.
A brace from in-form front man Simon Cox was enough to seal the win, with the manager offering his views on the encounter post-match.
"I thought it was a good game and I thought we did well for eighty minutes. We dropped off in the last ten minutes but we can work on that.
"The only concern was that Macca took a little knock but hopefully it's not too serious.
"We spoke to the players before about their attitude, because it was a different mental approach needed for these games. We are expected to win these games the players have to readjust to that after playing the likes of Steaua Bucharest and Fenerbahce last week."

Malpas also offered the latest news on the two trialists who featured or The Robins at The Beveree Stadium.
"Mark (Marshall) has tremendous pace and that's something we don't have in the squad. I have spoken to his agent and to the player, and he will link up with Eastleigh on their tour of Devon.
"He has done well and we have a decision to make. I don't want our judgement to be clouded by his pace; because we need to see a final product and we have to decide whether we can nurture that.
"John Hills will play at Salisbury City on Wednesday and at Chippenham on Saturday, so he will get a fair crack of the whip and we will see how he gets on."
