Team news: Town v Barnet

Posted on: Tue 07 Feb 2012

Swindon Town host Barnet this evening in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Southern Area Final second leg.

A place at Wembley in the final against Chesterfield on Sunday 25th March awaits the winners of tonight's tie with the scores even at 1-1 after the first leg at Underhill.

The Robins go into the game without Luke Rooney and Billy Bodin who have both played in the competition for Gillingham and Torquay United respectively earlier this season.

Di Canio recalled midfielder Jonathan Smith to the starting line-up at Southend United last week at Southend United in League 2, with Simon Ferry and Oliver Risser the other options in central midfield.

Joe Devera is set to partner Alan McCormack in the heart of the defence whilst Alessandro Cibocchi and Callum Kennedy are options at left-back.

Up front Paul Benson and Ronan Murray got the nod at Roots Hall seven days ago whilst Alan Connell and Lukas Magera may also come into contention against the Bees.

Di Canio will include goalkeeper Phil Smith amongst the replacements tonight with the game going straight to penalties if the scores remain level at full-time.
