Lecsinel Jean-Francois is a 22-year old Haiti international who has previously spent time on trial with Scottish club Aberdeen, playing in a pre-season fixture against Brechin in the summer of 2008.
He began his footballing career in France, playing for the reserve teams of Paris Saint Germain and Sedan.
He had a spell during 2006 on loan at SPL side Falkirk before playing for Ligue 2 club Guingamp.
After impressing in numerous reserve games for Town during the 2008/2009 season, Jean-Francois signed a deal until the end of the season, and made his full debut off the bench in the League One clash at Millwall on Tuesday 17th January 2009.
Further performances during the remainder of the campaign were enough to secure a new contract and he began the 2009/10 campaign at left-back.
He made 28 starts for Town during the campaign, gaining cult hero status among some sections of The County Ground support.
