Lightening-quick winger who was joined by Ben Joyce and Callum Kennedy on the pre-season tour of Austria in the summer of 2007.
Macklin came up through the ranks at SN1 and was handed his first taste of first team action in the home pre-season friendly with Bristol City.
He then became the youngest ever play to represent Swindon at first team level when coming on against Brentford in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in September 2007.
He went on to feature prominently for the youth and reserve teams as the 2007/08 campaign was played out.
Macklin made two appearances for the first team in April 2008 before becoming enjoying more regular involvement on the first team scene during the opening stages of the 2009/10 season.
He made nine appearances - many of them off the bench - before being forced off against Brentford in early October with a leg fracture, although is hoping to return to action before Christmas.
