Name: Nathan Thompson
Nationality: English
Position: Defender

Having been part of a successful youth team set up in 2008-2009, Nathan Thompson signed a two-year professional contract in the summer of 2009.

The youngster appeared among the substitutes on a number of occasions in Season 2009/2010, but did not feature for the first team due to the impressive form of fellow right-backs Kevin Amankwaah and Stephen Darby.

Thompson's performances in the youth team had brought interest from Premiership giants Arsenal and Chelsea, as he impressed alongside the likes of Sean Morrison, Kurt Hammonds and Mark Scott.
