Swindon Town signed 20-year old defender Yinka Casal on a two-year deal from Dutch club Cambuur just two days before the start of the 2008/09 season.
The versatile player began his career with Fulham's Academy before crossing the Atlantic for a spell with DC United, signing in February 2007.
He then signed for Cambuur Leeuwarden in the summer of 2007 and impressed during his spell with the Dutch club.
Two bids from Dutch clubs were turned down for the player before Swindon's offer tempted Cambuur's hand. The defender has already played for Nigeria U20's in an African Cup of Nations qualifier in 2006.
He made his Town debut in the opening day of the 2008/09 season against Tranmere Rovers and made five further appearances during the campaign.
He went under the knife in the summer of 2009 to cure a knee injury and is currently recovering from surgery.
