Sturrock junior arrived at The County Ground in November 2006 to join up with Physio Dick Mackey for treatment following an injury which ruled him out of the latter stages of the 2005-6 campaign, when he was at Rochdale.
The striker joined Dundee United as a trainee before spending time at Brechin on loan. Sturrock then had a three-year spell on the south coast with Plymouth Argyle making most of his appearances as a substitute.

In 2004, Sturrock moved to Kidderminster, then onto Rochdale 9 months later where he hit six goals in fifteen starts.
The Scottish striker has netted two goals for Swindon so far which have come against Boston United and Peterborough United.
