STUDY CENTRE SUPPORT

Posted on: Sat 03 Nov 2007

42 students from King Alfreds Sports College in Wantage spent the day at Swindon Town Football Club as part of their BTEC First National Diploma this week.

The day started at the training ground where they were met by Assistant Manager Kevin Summerfield who briefed them (pictured right) on the training session they were about to watch.

After training the students then came to The County Ground where Jon Holloway and Clive Maguire put them through a professional coaching session before Martin Turnbull, Study Centre Manager, gave them a ground tour focusing on how the stadium is prepared for a match day.

After a quick lunch the students interviewed first team players Andy Nicholas and Christian Roberts (pictured above), as well as members of club staff to find out how a professional sports club operates.
