IN FOCUS: ADY WILLIAMS
Ady Williams retired to the other side of the touchline after 20 years as a player.
Williams was a welcome addition to Town's backline after signing from Reading in the summer of 2006 and following Dennis Wise's departure to Leeds, he showed signs he was able to coach when he assumed the managerial reigns [for the second time] alongside David Byrne.
He was confirmed as reserve team manager in January following the appointment of Maurice Malpas as manager.
"The lads have respected the fact I have stepped up as a coach and know when to have a laugh and when not to," he said recently.
"They have made the transition a lot easier. When you're learning to become a coach there is a lot of reading and writing involved. There is a lot to be done in the classroom.
"A lot of people try and do it when they are still playing and it is hard to find the time. I am fortunate that I am doing my training on the job."
