THE SEASON AHEAD
Swindon Town boss Maurice Malpas made five summer signings with Kevin Amankwaah, Yinka Casal, Mark Marshall, Lilian Nalis and Michael Timlin joining the ranks.
It was a busy summer off the pitch for Swindon with The County Ground undergoing a substancial refurbishment programme.
August
August will close with a first ever trip to Stadium:MK, with an early opportunity to be reunited with former players Paul Ince and Sean O'Hanlon.

September
The month gets underway with another relatively short trip out of Wiltshire, this time to Hereford United before Leeds United make the trip South to The County Ground on Saturday 13th September.
There is then a trip to face Stockport County at Edgeley Park before a home date with Millwall.
October
Hartlepool United will provide the first opposition of October, with the long trip to the North East taking place on Saturday 4th October before a home date with Huddersfield Town.
The busy month of October continues with away days at Southend United and Walsall as well as home dates against Northampton Town and Oldham Athletic. Two of these fixtures - Northampton and Walsall - will take place in midweek.

November
The month of November sees Leicester City return to The County Ground on Saturday 15th as well as two away encounters at Scunthorpe United and Bristol Rovers.
Peterborough United provide the last opposition of the month as they make the trip across to Wiltshire on Tuesday 25th November.
December
There is no Tuesday night December trip to Carlisle United this season - although one of the key dates of the campaign, Boxing Day, sees Town make the trip across to Leyton Orient to face Martin Ling's O's.
December also holds home games against Carlisle United, Yeovil Town and Brighton & Hove Albion. Crewe Alexandra is also another December destination.
January
2009 will open with a journey along the M4 on Saturday 3rd January to face Millwall.
There are also home dates with Stockport County, Hartlepool United and Walsall as well as visits to Huddersfield Town and Oldham Athletic.
February
February begins with a Tuesday night visit to Northampton Town's Sixfields prior to a home clash with Southend United.
Town's visit to Leicester City arrives on Valentine's Day before Scunthorpe United visit Wiltshire on Saturday 21st. The month ends with an away date at Tranmere Rovers on Saturday 28th.
March
Cheltenham Town are the first opponents of the month as they visit on Tuesday 3rd March in front of what should be a decent crowd at The County Ground.
MK Dons are the visitors on Saturday 7th prior to a tough week which sees away trips to Colchester United on a Tuesday night before the much-anticipated trip to Elland Road to face Leeds United on Saturday 14th March - ending what is perhaps the toughest week of the season.
Hereford United are the last visitors of the month on Saturday 21st March before a trip to face Yeovil Town a week later.

April
The penultimate month of the campaign sees home dates against Crewe Alexandra, Leyton Orient and Bristol Rovers. There are also trips to Brighton & Hove Albion and Carlisle United - both of which fall on a Saturday.
May
The curtain will come down on the 2008/09 campaign with a trip to Peterborough United on Saturday 2nd May 2008. Let's hope we can go to London Road still involved in the promotion race.
