Flint joined Town from Blue Square North side Alfreton Town in January 2011, after having been pursued by Danny Wilson for a considerable time.
Flint had attracted interest from the likes of Colchester United, Derby County and Luton Town with his performances for Alfreton, but chose to move to The County Ground on a two-and-a-half year contract mid-way through the January transfer window.
The defender, who has also received two international caps at England 'C' level, made his debut in the 1-1 draw with Rochdale at The County Ground on February 5th.
After a difficult first season at the County Ground, Flint started and scored against Crewe Alexandra at the start of the 2011/12 season and has established himself as a key member of Paolo Di Canio's squad.
