Swindon Town FC are looking to recruit part time Academy coaches to work within our Category 3 Licensed Academy programme.

Successful applicants will report directly to the Lead Phase Coach and the Head of Coaching and will be responsible for the delivery of the Academy coaching programme in line with the Academy philosophy.

We are looking for individuals who have excellent communication, interpersonal and motivational skills, as well as being a role-model to young players. They will be able to show that they can create and deliver innovative and engaging coaching sessions to challenge and develop the player in line with the Academy coaching syllabus, as well as demonstrating that they understand the needs of the modern young player in terms of their physical and psychological development.

The roles involve working in the evenings and during weekends. There will also be an expectation for administrative tasks to be completed as part of the role.

Applicants will only be considered if they have their ‘UEFA B’ coaching qualification, as well as having demonstrable experience of working with players within the u7-u16s age range. Ideally applicants will also need to be locally based (living within 30 minutes of the Swindon area).

Successful applicants will undergo a screening process that will include an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure.

Swindon Town Football Club are currently seeking host family providers, couples or singles, to support our elite young players who need to live away from home to undertake their football training at our club.

Players may range from 16 to 19.

LOCATION: Within 30 minute drive from The County Ground, Swindon, SN1 2ED

Host families would be required to provide homely accommodation throughout the season. Players would require their own double bedroom. Access to public transport and local amenities is desirable.

Our placements involve the player staying in the accommodation for up to 6 nights per week.

Host families would be required to guide our young players by teaching them basic independent living skills such as washing, cooking and cleaning after themselves.

The host family will be required to provide meals (dependent upon the Academy schedule) in line with the basic nutrition guide provided by the Academy. Additionally, they will formally undertake to protect and care for the young players in their charge.

Any applicant wishing to be considered as a host family will need to demonstrate they are able to share this commitment.

As part of this commitment, Host Families are required to attend Safeguard Training every three years which is delivered by the Football Association/Football League.

Hosts family members and any other persons over the age of 16 who reside at the address, are legally required to complete enhanced DBS checks and subscribe to the DBS Update Service on an annual basis. Fees for checks will be reimbursed.

 Job title: Academy Senior Physiotherapist
Organisation: Swindon Town Football Club
Salary: Up to £27,000 dependent on experience

Description:
The role of the Academy senior physiotherapist is to lead, in conjunction with Academy and EFL regulations, the physiotherapy programme and oversee staff within the department to ensure a high standard of medical provision to all academy players.

The Academy senior physiotherapist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and will manage the medical department for the academy providing medical care and cover for all age groups U9-U18.

Candidates must be flexible and willing to work flexible hours associated with the job. Willingness to relocate to a commutable distance would be desirable.

Qualifications: 

BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy
· Chartered Physiotherapist and must be registered with the HCPC 

Chartered society of Physiotherapy (CSP) membership

Intermediate Trauma Medical Management in football (ITMMiF)

Desirable qualifications:
· 3 + Years of Academy Football experience
· A MSc in a related field

Swindon Town Football Club are currently recruiting for an Academy BTEC Tutor to join the team at SN1 for the 2022-23 season.

Job Title: Academy BTEC Tutor

Contract Type: 1 Year Fixed Term (9 hours / week

Reports to: LFE Regional Officer, and Swindon Town Academy - Head of Education

Salary: Competitive (Hourly Rate)

Based at: The County Ground Swindon, SN12ED

Hours: 9 Hours of delivery time per week, x 32 weeks of the year (September-June).

Purpose of Role - To work with League Football Education (LFE) to provide high-quality learning experiences that meet the needs of learners and maintain the highest professional standards in the delivery of vocational qualifications to apprentices.

Key Responsibilities

· Teach the apprentices for the specified number of hours in your contract and create an inspiring learning environment that challenges and supports all apprentices.

· Complete an annual assessment plan for the units you will be delivering.

· Mark apprentices work on the EMS and complete associated administration within 10 working days of the learners submitting.

· Provide detailed individual feedback to each apprentice on their progress, challenging the development of academic skills including English and Math.

· Plan and organise delivery to ensure good/outstanding lessons are taught.

· Support apprentices using a variety of teaching and learning methods to maximise apprentice potential.

· Utilise LFE teaching resources and CPD opportunities fully and effectively to enhance learner experience and employability skills.

· Consistently conduct formative assessments to monitor apprentice progress. Use the information from these assessment checks to inform teaching.

· Encourage apprentices to reflect on their own learning experiences and to monitor their own progress.

· Establish open, motivational and trusting relationships with apprentices.

· Encourage apprentices to take responsibility for their own learning.

· Contribute to the regular (approximately 12-weekly) formal LFE review process, as per the BTEC tutor guidance, for each apprentice.

· Liaise with LFE’s Lead internal verifier to ensure assessment is appropriate and that apprentice work satisfies awarding body criteria.

· Comply with external verification requirements of LFE’s awarding body and provide if requested, access to apprentices and samples of work for scrutiny when requested.

· Attend LFE training events i.e. LFE standardisation meetings and conferences, as required.

· Attend/participate in meetings and other events as required.

· Comply with LFE’s cycle of observations of teaching, learning and assessment.

· Play an active part in your own professional development and undertake continual professional development. Maintain a portfolio of your CPD to demonstrate continuing vocational and occupational competence.

· Support and motivate the U18’s, to deliver the apprentice curriculum, academy philosophy and push high standards at all times.

· Work with the Head of Education with the identification, co-ordination, and delivery of individual development plans for all players within the phase.

· Contribute to the building of a library of academy best practice sessions mirroring the philosophy.
