TOWN'S latest recruit Federico Bessone says that he is looking forward to being part of Paolo Di Canio's 'project' at Swindon.
Speaking exclusively to Swindontownfc.co.uk shortly after putting pen to paper, the defender declared that he was looking forward to making his first appearance in a Town shirt.
"I met Paolo and we have been talking and I like his ideas, his project and I’m going to be part of it so very happy to be here," he said. "Swindon Town is a big club in the wrong division that is my opinion. I would like to help the team to work hard and let’s see if we can do something big.
I’m looking to play some games. Last season I didn’t have the chance, it was difficult to play so lets see this season. I’m looking forward to the first game of the season for me. I’m going to try to do my best first of all. I like to work hard and do my best every game and if I can go forward it’s one of my best things. Let’s see if they (the fans) can enjoy."
Having played at the County Ground before, Bessone recalled a visit to SN1 during his first spell in South Wales.
He said: "I remember my first season at Swansea four years ago I came here and we played a reserve game. I remember we drew 4-4. The ground is lovely but it’s going to be better when it’s full."
