Di Canio - A Different Game

16 August 2012

PAOLO Di Canio has called on his players to forget Tuesday's win over Brighton and focus entirely on the first league game at Hartlepool United on Saturday.

Speaking at Thursday afternoon's press call, the manager says he is curious to see how his team performs at Victoria Park.

"It will be a completely different game at Hartlepool," he said. "I’m curious to see my team play and if they are ready in some way to forget Tuesday and focus attention to a completely different game we are going to play."

Di Canio was also asked if he was looking forward to finally getting the League season underway.

"Absolutely," he replied. "More than last year because last year I couldn’t wait to start. This year I’m sure we are more ready and we have more quality.

"I can see my players give me more satisfaction in training sessions I feel more sure obviously I have to be sure that I am right but I really believe that we can go there and have the right answers straight away. Then will we see but anyway there is always curiosity but you have to check and watch if you were right."
