MANAGER Paolo Di Canio spoke to the media after his side's 1-0 win over MK Dons at The County Ground...
On the win…
It wasn’t our best game but we got the result. MK Dons played with a slow tempo in the first half but they are a good side. We deserved the win but we should have won by more against one of the best sides in the league.
On the red card…
To be honest it is difficult to judge. Before the red card we were on top. Sometimes playing against ten men players think it will be easy and we didn’t want that to happen. I have to recognise that we were the better side before the red card, but after the sending off maybe not completely.
On the goal…
For me the ball scored the goal! It is obvious that Matt Ritchie was a little lucky but it was a good ball into the box. When you deliver the ball in that manner it is difficult to defend. It’s always going to give a chance for the attacking side. Maybe Ritchie and James Collins can share the goal? I would have given the man of the match award to the team today.
On another clean sheet…
When the weather is like it was today then maybe you can expect something incredible, but we played with shape and desire.
On facing Stoke City…
It is another chance for us to test ourselves against a top side at the top level. We will look forward to the game but we will be back in training on Sunday and going through how we can improve.
