PAOLO Di Canio is looking forward to facing Crystal Palace on Wednesday as Town complete their pre-season preparations with a home friendly against Championship opposition.
After four straight pre-season wins away from SN1, the manager says he can’t wait to get back to playing on the pristine, bowling green-like surface at The County Ground.
He said: “Tuesday’s game against Crystal Palace will be a real test for us against an established Championship team.
“The pitch here will be one of the best in the league and we are looking forward to putting on a show at The County Ground. We want to win, but that means playing football on the ground and in the right way. This is a friendly game but we want to do the right things and perform well.
“Hopefully our fans will come to The County Ground in numbers and watch us after what has been a good pre-season schedule. It should be an entertaining game.”
