Swindon Town manager Paolo Di Canio believes the Capital One Cup second round draw will offer his side another good opportunity to test themselves against higher-division opponents.
The Robins were drawn against Premier League side Stoke City and the game will be played in the final week of August. Speaking exclusively to Swindontownfc.co.uk, the manager gave his reaction soon after the draw was made.
He said: “Stoke are a Premier League side and it is a draw we will take.
“I am more than happy because it will be another good test for us to build the confidence of the players against a top team.
"We can test ourselves against top level players and that can help us build the winning mentality we want at the club.
“Only through hard tests can you build strength in the brain and gain confidence. This draw can help us to make progress this season and we are looking forward to it.”
