TOWN'S match against Colchester United tomorrow afternoon has been CALLED OFF due to a waterlogged pitch.
With the pitch waterlogged as of early Friday evening following substantial rainfall in the local area in the past week, and further significant rain expected during the course of Saturday, the game was called off by the official that came to visit the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
Colchester manager Joe Dunne and Town assistant manager Fabrizio Piccareta were both in attendance as the surface was examined on Friday.
The U's had asked for a further morning inspection, but the official that looked at the pitch on the referee's behalf opted to advise Saturday's official Mr Robinson that the game should be called off.
All tickets for the fixture will be valid for the rearranged match.
