Hollands - Push On At Home

18 December 2012

DANNY Hollands believes that Saturday’s win at Oldham will give the team some vital momentum going into Friday’s clash with league leaders Tranmere Rovers.

Speaking to the official website, the on-loan midfielder says that the Town’s performance at the weekend merited a victory.

“Tranmere will be another tough game,” he said. “Oldham was a good three points and it’s nice to have a bit of form going into Friday. A draw and a win going into the next game is massive. Hopefully we can push on and get three points at home.

“When you come to a place like Oldham you know it’s going to be tough and it’s going to be a battle. It’s difficult to get the ball down and play your stuff but I felt that we were in control for most of the game.

“In terms of possession and chances there was only one team that was going to win it and it would have been a massive disappointment for us had we not got the three points.”

After making his fifth appearance in a Swindon shirt at the weekend, Hollands stressed that he was focused on playing his part during his time at SN1.

“I’m starting to get to know the lads and I’m starting to feel fit,” he said. “Hopefully I can bring something to the team. There’s competition all over the squad so I just want to get as fit as I can, put some good performances together in a Swindon shirt and hopefully help the team move up the table.”
