TOWN manager Paolo Di Canio says that he is frustrated by the postponement of Saturday's fixture at Colchester United.
After the Boxing Day trip to Leyton Orient was called off, the Italian expressed his dismay at yet another match falling foul of the recent bad weather.
“It’s frustrating because we all want to play,” he said. “We had momentum and we were doing very well. Not playing at this moment especially against a side that have a big difficulty it’s not fair but obviously there are rules for the weather.
“I want to remind the people that decide – sometimes there are incredible storms or maybe heavy rain for five or six days in a row and it’s not possible to play but they have to think that we live in England. Maybe in a few weeks it will be snowing then what will we be doing?
“We had a chance. Colchester wanted to play because the groundsman was there and he said from his point of view and especially thinking about the weather with one day to go, to make a decision everything was there and he knows the pitch. It’s difficult to predict the weather but the conditions were there to go through and maybe to wait until this morning to decide if we have the chance to play.”
