TOWN could face local rivals Oxford United in the first round of the 2012/13 Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
The news follows a Football League announcement of the regional groups for the draw in addition to announcing the teams which have received byes in the opening round.
Swindon have been put in the Southern Section West side of the draw and could play Oxford, Bristol Rovers or Portsmouth. The draw for Round One will be made on Saturday 18th August live on Soccer AM between 10.00–10.30am. Ties will be played in the week commencing 3rd September 2012.
