PAUL Benson has this morning signed a one-month loan deal to join League One side Portsmouth.
The striker has been on the bench for the Robins of late and has joined the South Coast side in a bid for regular game time.
Benson signed for Town from Charlton Athletic in January and played a significant part in last season’s promotion effort.
He has scored three times for Swindon so far this term and could make his debut for Portsmouth in Saturday’s game against Doncaster Rovers at Fratton Park.
The initial loan deal will see him remain with the club until 16th December 2012.
