Di Canio - A Very Good Win

17 November 2012

TOWN manager Paolo Di Canio spoke to the media after his side's 4-1 win over Yeovil.

On the win…
It was a very good win. We dominated the situation and we didn’t have many problems with the free-kicks conceded. It proves that size doesn’t count if you have the determination and anger. We were focused and there were two big lads to contend with but we defended well.

On Williams’ injury…
I don’t think there is any ligament damage but we will check it properly. Normally when there is some problem – we will check properly

Goal conceded…
I was very angry with Macca. I told him that it was his first game back and he is intelligent. With two or three passes they moved the ball well and scored. We cannot concede goals like that but we have to take the positives from today.

On the goals scored…
We scored some good goals today and we went into the half-time 3-1 up which was important. Darren Ward had concentration and took his chance at the back post. I am happy because we did well and it was good to see James Collins score twice. We kicked his bottom a little bit because he scored early and we told him to keep working hard. He scored, but then we didn’t see him for half an hour. He has to become stronger.

On facing Brentford…
Now we have to focus and look forward on the next game and we can do that in a positive way. We have to charge the batteries and make the fans satisfied. We have to keep going and arrive at the moment with full concentration.
