MIDFIELDER Alan Navarro could soon be back in training according to manager Paolo Di Canio.
The Liverpudlian was forced off in the home draw with Coventry City on Saturday 13th October and travelled to Italy for specialist treatment but has been working hard with the medical staff at The County Ground over the past few weeks.
Signed from Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer, the 31-year old has made 12 appearances for the Robins so far.
“Alan has been out for a long time but if everything goes okay for the rest of this week, maybe he can come back into training next week,” said Di Canio, speaking of the midfielder’s potential return.
“It would be quicker than we thought but we would bring him into light training without challenge, but we shall see.”
