Swindon Town

THE draw for the first round of the FA Cup with Budweiser will take place this Sunday 21st October.

It will be broadcast live on ITV1 in a 30 minute programme which will start at 1.30pm.

Swindon had a season to remember in the competition last term, which began with an emphatic first round 4-1 win over Huddersfield Town. A 1-0 victory at Colchester United followed in November with Matt Ritchie’s second half strike seeing the Robins through to round three.

A third round tie at home to Premier League side Wigan Athletic resulted in a memorable 2-1 victory thanks to goals from Alan Connell and Paul Benson. Town were drawn away at Leicester City at the fourth round stage and lost 2-0 at The King Power Stadium at the end of January.

This season’s first round tie will take place on Saturday 3rd November 2012 and ticket details will follow next week after the draw is made.
