McCormack - Winning Mentality Is Key

2 October 2012

SWINDON skipper Alan McCormack says that a winning mentality is driving Swindon forward as they look to register another three points against Colchester United this evening.

After recently returning to winning ways, the Irishman believes that the team are starting to gel together at last.

"The winning mentality is still here from last year and that is what helps drive you forward," he said. "The news lads that came in during the summer or on loan are getting to grips with what we do here and they will now know all about how the club is run and what Swindon is about. No matter who we are against, we have shown that we are a very good side and tonight will be another challenge."

"Colchester have a new manager in Joe Dunne and they will bring with them new belief and lots of enthusiasm. The manager will have players there wanting to impress and this is a dangerous game for us.

"We have been flying high lately and that brings confidence, but we cannot underestimate them. Colchester beat Hartlepool 3-1 at home on Saturday and have made some new signings too."
