ALAN McCormack will miss Saturday’s fixture with Coventry City while Gary Roberts could make a return to action.

Paolo Di Canio explained the pair’s situation to the media on Wednesday afternoon.

“Gary Roberts yes but Alan McCormack no,” he revealed. “Gary will join the group again tomorrow full time then we will see gradually.

“I don’t want to say yes completely but I can tell you why not – we will see tomorrow. The day after is crucial but today he forced it a bit more and didn’t feel any reaction and his delivery of the ball was very good but it’s important tomorrow to see how he feels then if everything is ok he will join the group then why not join the group for Saturday’s game?”
