PDC - Happy With Three Points

6 October 2012

TOWN manager Paolo Di Canio spoke to the media after his side’s 1-0 win at Bury

On the win…
Three points is the maximum you can have in a game and I’m happy for the three points. The situation in the last game and the way we played in the last game to today, to be honest I don’t change my opinion. It was important to get three points then obviously we can travel back with a big smile because we got the maximum we could today.

On the performance…
It was worse than a scrappy win but we won so I smile for the three points but I didn't enjoy this game but I have to be a manager that has to realise that we played Tuesday and they didn’t play Tuesday. We have played many games now - we came from four wins in a row including a cup game that was expensive in terms of energy mentally and physically. Tuesday was a bad defeat and a bad performance it wasn’t easy to come here against a side that are struggling. They have changed their manager, they did very well at Stevenage and scored two goals so at the end of the day I'm happy for the three points but it was tough for my players to play today.

On Andy Williams’ injury…
Andy Williams has a calf problem. It’s normal because he has played every game 90-95 minutes.
