TOWN are back in action at SN1 on Tuesday evening with Colchester United the visitors.

THE VIEW

After grinding out a 1-0 victory at Shrewsbury Town on Saturday, manager Paolo Di Canio warned his players to underestimate Colchester at their peril.

“Colchester made a positive result on Saturday against Hartlepool United and scored three goals with desire and good play,” he said.

“They have made new signings and have one player, Jabo Ibehre, who has already faced us this season and another who played for Arsenal against Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Champions League two years ago.

“They have quality in their squad so we cannot underestimate them; if we do we are in big trouble. They will put us under pressure and as we saw from the weekend, they will capitalise on any mistakes.”

THE STORY SO FAR

United have endured a torrid start to the 2012/13 season, failing to win any of their opening nine fixtures in League One and in the Capital One Cup. They have drawn the four and lost four of their league fixtures to date and their poor start resulted in the sacking of manager John Ward last week. Joe Dunne was handed the reins last Wednesday and masterminded their 3-1 win over Hartlepool on Saturday..

LAST TIME OUT

Colchester’s last visit to Wiltshire ended in defeat as goals from Thomas Dossevi and Charlie Austin both scored in a 2-1 for the Town. The Us last won at SN1 in August 2008. Former Town loanee Johnnie Jackson scored as the visitors triumphed 3-1.
