YOUNGSTER Miles Storey took his goalscoring tally to three in two games as he netted a double in the Capital One Cup fourth round tie against Aston Villa.
Storey came off the bench to get The County Ground crowd on their feet with a quickfire brace to get the game back to 2-2, before Christian Benteke’s second of the game stole the win for the visitors.
Speaking to the media after the game, Town’s young gun gave his views on another night to remember at The County Ground.
He said: “I didn’t think things could get much better than they did on Saturday, but tonight was amazing. I was delighted with the goals but we saw the quality of a Premier League side this evening. Aston Villa took their chances really well and were such a good team.
“I was pleased to score the first and didn’t really celebrate because I wanted to get the game going again and get back on level terms. For the second one I saw the ball come in and I just tried to get something on it and it went back in the back of the net.
“It was a cruel defeat and the fans came out in force for what was a special night. It’s a shame we didn’t go all the way but we’ll go again.”
