Carlisle United Travel Offer

17 September 2012

SUPPORTERS who were severely delayed due to the M6 accident and therefore, did not make it to Carlisle United on time for the 3pm kick off on Saturday afternoon are being requested to keep their ticket stubs.

The club will look to compensate those supporters affected by the long delays getting to Brunton Park in the form of coach travel to a forthcoming away fixture, to be selected by STFC.

Town Chief Executive, Nick Watkins, commented: “As always the club greatly appreciates the tremendous efforts made by our supporters in travelling to follow the team away from home and Carlisle, with the distance involved is a particularly onerous travel commitment.

“With knowledge of the considerable delays, a concerted effort was made on Saturday to request a delayed kick-off for the game but unfortunately this was not sanctioned.

“The club would like to ask those Swindon supporters affected by the long delays to keep their ticket stubs from the Carlisle game. Compensation in the form of free coach travel to a selected away game in the future will be organized.

“On behalf of the Board, the management and the team, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who made the trip North.”
