TOWN make the long trip to Carlisle United on Saturday looking to arrest a run of three consecutive defeats...

THE VIEW

Midfielder John Bostock spoke exclusively to the official website on Thursday and he says that Town are fully focused on turning their form around at Brunton Park.

He said: “We’ve been working really hard as a team and the gaffer’s been making sure we’ve been doing a lot of specific training. We’ve worked really hard this week so hopefully we can put it right by winning on Saturday.

“We all know what we need to do but we need to execute it as a team together. We’ve got quite a few new players and hopefully the fans can start seeing us gel together now so it’s a massive game.

“Although we’ve lost three on the trot we know we want to be up at the top of the league so we need to get points on the board.”

THE STORY SO FAR

The Cumbrians have had a mixed start to the new campaign, winning two of their opening five league fixtures, losing two and drawing the other. Like Swindon they have also enjoyed a run to the third round of the Capital One Cup. United knocked out Accrington Stanley and Ipswich Town to set up a mouth-watering home tie with Tottenham Hotspur.

LAST TIME OUT

The last meeting between the two sides at Brunton Park ended in a 0-0 draw in September 2010. Most Town fans will fondly remember the last time Swindon won in the north-west in November 2009, where a certain Charlie Austin scored the first of his 37 goals in Swindon colours to secure a 1-0 win.
