THIS Sunday 28th April, a tribute match will take place at The County Ground in memory of former Town defender Alan McDonald, who sadly passed away in June 2012 following a heart attack aged just 48.
The game will be contested between the Hungerford Veterans side that played at Wembley in 2000 against the current Hungerford Veterans side. Many of the team from 2000 played alongside Alan during his playing days and include the likes of Jimmy Quinn, Dave Hockaday and Tom Jones.
Entry to the game will be via donation on the day in aid of the Alan McDonald Trust with proceeds going to the British Heart Foundation. Kick-off for the match will be at 1pm and entry to the stadium will be via the Legends Lounge.
Fans attending are also welcome to attend the post-match reception in the Sponsor’s Suite, where an auction will take place with items including a signed Chelsea shirt, a signed Manchester United football and a Manchester City match shirt signed by Micah Richards.
