RAFFAELE De Vita is hoping to wrap up a fourth consecutive promotion by helping the Robins successfully navigate the end of season Play-Offs.

The Italian won back to back promotions in Scotland with Livingston before joining Swindon in the summer of 2011. He was a regular in Town’s League Two title-winning campaign last year and has made 38 appearances so far this term.

Speaking to the official website, the 25-year old is looking forward to his first taste of Play-Off action.

He said: “It would be nice to win promotion this year although the Play-Offs are a first for me.

“My last few promotions have been via the automatic places, but I am looking forward to the next few weeks.

“Winning at Wembley sounds like something special and I would love that to happen. A few of the lads here have been involved in the Play-Offs and they have said how much of a good experience it can be.

“There is a lot of hard work to do before we can reach Wembley. Results over the last few weeks have improved and we have a lot of confidence now. If we can go into the Play-Offs with three consecutive wins then that would be brilliant.”

De Vita is braced for a flood of requests for match tickets for the Play-Offs from family members - but admits another Italian invasion may have to wait.

“I don’t think any of my family or friends from home will be over for the semi-finals but they will be following from afar I am sure. I haven’t thought too much about that to be honest.

“The priority is to help the team reach Wembley and then go from there.”
