WITH five games to go until the end of the League One season, Town boss Kevin MacDonald knows the importance of a victory on the road this evening.

The Robins go into tonight’s match at MK Dons eager to boost their chances of promotion with a three-point haul against Karl Robinson’s play-off chasers.

“We have to do everything we can in the last five games, and that starts on Tuesday night,” MacDonald told STFC Player.

“We didn’t have a game at the weekend so we trained on Saturday morning and I then went to watch MK Dons in the afternoon. They have a mix of good youngsters and solid experience.

“Karl Robinson has done a good job with them but it’s about what we do that will influence the outcome of the game. The lads have responded very well in training and we have done some good work with them.

“We have had some good performances over the last seven games but tonight we have to get the result we need this evening to keep things moving along.”
