DEFENDER Nathan Byrne was deployed at left-back against Crewe Alexandra and made quite an impression for the Robins.
The on-loan Spurs starlet made his fifth appearance in a Town shirt on Tuesday night and played his part in an emphatic 4-1 victory at The County Ground.
“I have played left-back quite a few times this season for the reserves at Tottenham, so it was nothing new for me," he told STFC Player after the game.
"I was happy with my performance and the main thing was the win.
“The lads were buzzing in the changing room afterwards and we are all looking forward to the weekend now.
“We scored a few goals early on and that helped things too. I was pleased to see Massimo get on too. He’s a good mate and a brave guy.”
