Cooper: We could have won it

29 December 2013

TOWN Manager Mark Cooper spoke to the media after the 1-1 draw at Bradford.

On the result..
I thought we could have won it. In the first half we were good and had lots of play around their box. We felt hard done by going 1-0 down. In the second half we were dominant it was a great goal from Alex Pritchard. Then we got a bit anxious because we tried to win the game too quickly.

On the opposition...
Bradford's strength is crosses into the box. The centre back has scored and that was probably their only attempt of the half but that's down to an inidividual error. Jay loses his man and it was a free header.

On tactics...
We played with two deeper midfield playes then getting Yaser, Massimo and Pritch on the ball and they found it difficult to deal with. We should have scored at least one or two goals we were that dominant.

On the equaliser...
It was a fantastic goal. That's his first goal in open play in a while and he's starting to come into a bit of form. Away from home, he's now one of the first names on the teamsheet.

On Raphael Rossi-Branco...
I've made the players give him a round of applause after that. After being out of the team for that long and to come in to play like he did he can be really proud of himself.
