MILES Storey was delighted with his match-winning contribution against Coventry City.
Speaking to the media after the match, the youngster admitted that he had to be patient to get his chance.
“The way the team has been playing it’s been tough for me to be involved,” he said. “Looking at the forwards they’re great players so I’ve had to bide my time. I said to myself if I came on I’d have to do my best.”
The striker also praised the team’s character in coming back from a goal down.
He continued: “I’ve had a good couple of weeks in training and feel sharp again. Coventry are one of the best we've played this year. They took the lead but it shows our character to come back. Playing off ‘Range’ he wins a lot of flick-ons so it was good personally.
“I was at Coventry before I came to Swindon. I was nailed on to get scholarship but since then I’ve come to Swindon. To get a goal against them is brilliant."
