GOALSCORER James Collins came off the bench to secure all three points at Colchester United on Tuesday night, but played down his part in the victory.
The frontman hit his 14th goal of the season and it proved to be the matchwinner at The Weston Homes Community Stadium. Speaking to the media after the game, he was full of praise for his teammates.
He said: “It’s a massive three points for us and I think we deserved the win.
“Things went my way with the chance but all the lads worked incredibly hard all the way though.
“I was happy to contribute and the chance fell for me. I hit it hard and low and I was delighted to see it go in.
“The lads really dug in tonight and we got our rewards with the win.
“Getting a victory with just four subs on the bench says it all really.”
